So very striking – we’re smitten with this fabulous Mid-Century brooch by Norwegian silversmith Ivar T Holth.
Crafted in sterling silver with a gilt finish, this charming starfish brooch features exquisitely detailed enamelling work in rich orangey-red with contrasting white & gold down the arms. Not many of these pieces come up, and this colour combination (the red & gold) is the rarest of his starfish designs – and I think by far the most beautiful!
Measuring 4.5cm in width and weighing 8.1g, it fastens securely with its original c-clasp and is stamped to the rear with Holth’s maker’s mark. The enamelling work is in really excellent vintage condition with no chips or losses – this piece has been very well cared for.
Magnificently eye-catching, this piece will steal the limelight every time!
