Crafted in a rosy yellow 9ct gold, this unique vintage beauty features a mesmerising solid opal cabochon of 17 x 8mm.
Exhibiting flashes of red, blue and yellow “pinfire” against a solid white opal background, this one looks sensational in sunlight!
Likely Australian-made with locally mined Coober Pedy opal, it dates to the 1960s-70s and has a distinctly space-age feel to the modernist design.
Although it measures approximately size R ½ based on internal diameter, with its flat wide band to the rear and widely flared shoulders this ring is quite forgiving for sizing and should comfortably fit a couple of sizes either side of this also.
