A delightful hand-made European dress ring from the late 1920s.
The natural oval-cut amethyst measures 6x4mm and is claw set between lovely split shoulders. Hand-crafted from 18ct yellow gold, it is dainty and elegant from the front with a nice sturdy band to the rear. It looks so pretty on!
A faint inscription to the inside of the band dates this ring to February 1930, perhaps a birthday gift showcasing February’s birthstone, amethyst? Its simple and classic design is every bit as wearable today.
