A striking dress ring from the 1930s-40s Retro Era.
Crafted in a lovely burnished 9ct yellow gold, bordering on rose gold, it is so very eye-catching on the hand!
Most likely Australian made, based on the style of stamp, this ring is typical of the bold, stone-set jewellery styles that saw huge popularity in the pre and post-war period of late 30’s to late 40’s.
The polished oval onyx measures 11 x 15mm and is set off to great effect by its decorative “fringed” border – a little reminiscent of an Elizabethan ruff!
In wonderful condition, it is the perfect all-occasion vintage dress ring.
