Elegant and timeless – these twin-pearl earrings are the perfect Day-to-Night accessories.
Each stud is set with two 6mm Akoya-type pearls of excellent shape & lustre, framed by delicate golden leaves decorated with hand engraving detail.
Crafted in 14ct yellow gold, these earrings would originally have been screwbacks for non-pierced ears but have been converted by a jeweller to posts with 9ct butterfly backs.
These are a vintage Mikimoto design c1950s-60s and would have been stamped on the back of the original screwbacks. The converted butterfly backs bear hallmarks for Birmingham 1968.
