A gorgeous Late Victorian floral-themed sterling silver brooch with rose gold applique.
Beautifully decorated with hand-engraved geometric detail & curling plant tendrils, and also with rose pink blooms highlighted in gold relief, the style is typical of English Aesthetic period jewellery (c. late 1800s).
It bears Birmingham hallmarks for 1893 and a maker’s mark for English jeweller “H.Bros”.
The brooch measures 45mm by 22mm & weighs 6.87g – ideal size for wearing on a lapel. It fastens securely with its original C-clasp pin.
It is in excellent antique condition with no loss to the gold applique and all engraved detail still nice and crisp.
