A marvellous antique pendant/brooch from the late 1800s.
Beautifully decorated on the front with cannetille work, it features a rose-cut diamond approximately 3mm diammeter in a raised claw-setting. The setting is closed backed (a common practise in Victorian times) and the diamond really glitters!
Elegant golden scrolls and graduated beading adorn the edges of the pendant, while the reverse side features a lined display window for a photo of a loved one.
Measuring 50mm x 34mm, it is fitted with both a bale & a securely fastening pin so can be worn as a pendant or brooch. What a fabulous antique gift, or even a special present for yourself!
