Hands down one of the loveliest Victorian brooches we’ve come across, this Aesthetic period (late 1800s) brooch in sterling silver depicts an idyllic spring garden scene. It has been beautifully hand engraved, with details highlighted in yellow & rose gold applique.
To the rear of the brooch is an oval locket compartment with glass & frame intact, ready to take a photo or small keepsake.
Measuring 41mm in length & 25mm wide, it weighs 10.12g.
It is in very very good antique condition, the engraved detail still nice and crisp and all the edging beads present and undented. It fastens securely with its original C-clasp pin.
